Tamodine Wound is a powerful antifungal and antibacterial tamed iodine veterinary medicine. Fish, like all animals, are mainly water (50-75%). Fish's own tissues will begin to freeze. The science of cryopreservation uses cryoprotectants to minimise freezing and so avoid damage. Fish with carp pox are best isolated if badly affected and treated occasionally with CHLORAMINE T to keep secondary bacterial infections at bay. Recovery from this viral disease is usually spontaneous as the immune system gets going by June/July. Supplementation with ACE-HIGH is well worthwhile.

Fish have a body temperature which essentially mirrors that of the environment and the temperature at which they would be expected to freeze and die would be the freezing point of their blood plasma.
