Ever wondered why military vehicles don’t seem to have rust?Right guys, some of you lot got very curious when i stated that i was going to roller paint my T4 and asked for more details.

Finish without any other sanding etc, (excuse the raindrops, the paint was touch dry by this time so water on surface was okay) Tomorrow is day 3 - and we continue with the primary sanding/grinding, i will do a thorough rust treatment of all bodywork and will hopefully (if i have the resources) start fibreglassing and filling. This does however depend on whether my oil breathe pipe comes, as i may spend the day working on the engine so please bear with me guys and girls!military vehicle paint with increased heat resistance for engines, equipment, and machinery exposed to high temperatures. I skip quite a bit here but after a first attempt at rollering my white/blue/yellow bonnet looks like this: Nato Green LRC553 is a traditional single part Synthetic Coach Enamel paint. It was used by the Army, RAF, Royal Navy and MOD sometimes overpainting NATO Green Gloss. This is the earlier paint shade used on Defenders but not the Wolf variants. Type of Paint

The excellent functional properties of military vehicle paint come as a distinctive feature of niche products, providing the best protection of metal coatings from moisture, chemical, and physical factors, as well as from scratches and other mechanical damage. Increased wear resistance, improved adhesion, and long-lasting colour retention are also requirements for specialised topcoats, limiting paint materials' choice. Paints4Trade provides a superior selection of military vehicle paints for sale. We offer an extensive online catalogue that contains the best products for proper repair. Main Features of Paint for Military Vehicles For sanding i ddi this by hand to ensure i didn't remove too much, i used 60 grit here however found it scored the surface too much for paint to go on evenly. I would advise removing excess filler with 60grit and the once flush with the surface, finish with 120-180grit ready for painting. Sander (I bought B and Q's Mac Allister Random Orbital Sander just this morning and find it is brilliant on the large sheets of bodywork we have on T4's)

We know we are not the cheapest on the market, however the superb quality of our products is second to none.

I'm only guessing on the volume of paint required but to paint a smallish car takes 2 litre of primer & 2 litre of top coat minimum, i know this because i've just done it to my historic motor, look at my avitar for idea of size As with all these things, the key is in the preparation - if you take your time to make sure you've sanded the existing paint work well to provide a key, and treated any rust, the results can be fabulous. To get the perfect finish I'd recommend having a dry roller to hand and very lightly going over the paint to press out any tiny bubbles. I've also found that the thinner the paint, the better the finish, although of course you'll need a few more coats. Aerosol(400ML) spray cans are provided in a gloss acrylic finish providing fast drying highly durable finish.
